Arsenal’s most recent match saw them draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace, a result that all but sealed Liverpool’s Premier League title win, allowing them to focus entirely on this prestigious trophy that has so far eluded them. Mikel Arteta’s side has firmly established itself as a promising contender for this season's UEFA Champions League title after ruthlessly dispatching the competition’s most successful club, Real Madrid, with a commanding 5-1 aggregate win in the quarter-finals. Notably, Arsenal have already conquered PSG once this season, claiming a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium during the league phase back in October. In UEFA Champions League history, only one English club—Manchester City in the 2020-21 semi-finals—has beaten PSG twice in the same campaign. The Gunners will be looking to become the second side to do so, having remained unbeaten in their last eight UEFA Champions League matches [7W, 1D, 0L]. Arsenal are expected to line up in a 4—3—3 formation, with Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka in attack. Thomas Partey is suspended for this clash.

Newly crowned Ligue 1 champions PSG suffered a 3-1 defeat to Nice on Friday, their first loss of the season. However, the setback is unlikely to cause much concern, with full focus now shifting to the UEFA Champions League, a much sought-after trophy, having suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the final five years ago. To strengthen their chances in this crucial encounter, PSG must improve their worrying away record against English clubs, having lost five of their last six UEFA Champions League matches on English soil [1W, 0D, 5L]. Their most recent defeat came in a 3-2 loss to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the quarterfinals, during a run that also included setbacks against Manchester City [twice], Arsenal, and Newcastle. History does not favour them against Arsenal either, with the Gunners standing out as PSG’s biggest hurdle in European competition. However, PSG captain Marquinhos believes he can lead his side to a promising result at the Emirates. “There will be strategies to put in place. We will try to do our best to get a result there,” he said ahead of Tuesday’s UCL clash. The French champions have failed to win any of their previous five encounters against the Gunners [0W, 3D, 2L]. Luis Enrique is expected to opt for a 4—3—3 setup, fielding an attacking trio of Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
